1. ‘थेरी’ तमिल भाषा में बनी एक एक्शन-थ्रिलर फिल्म थी जो 14 अप्रैल 2016 में रिलीज़ हुई थी. फिल्म में जोसेफ विजय, एमी जैक्सन और सामंथा रुथ प्रभु जैसे कई बड़े एक्टर्स नजर आये थे.
2. फिल्म का डायरेक्शन साउथ के जाने माने डायरेक्टर एटली कुमार ने किया था. बता दें, एटली ने अभी तक कुल 4 फिल्में ही बनाई है जिनमे से 3 फिल्मों में विजय ने ही लीड रोल निभाया है. एटली कुमार ने साल 2013 में रिलीज़ हुई फिल्म ‘राजा रानी’ से अपने करियर की शुरुआत की थी जिसमे लीड रोल में आर्या नजर आये थे.

4. फिल्म में जोसेफ विजय तीन अलग-अलग किरदारों में नजर आये हैं. विजय को डीसीपी विजय कुमार, जोसेफ कुरुविल्ला और धर्मेश्वर के रोल में दिखाया गया है. इनके अलावा सामंथा ने विजय की पत्नी मित्रा का रोल प्ले किया है. साथ में एमी जैक्सन एनी के किरदार में नजर आई हैं.
फिल्म में एक ईमानदार पुलिस वाले विजय कुमार की कहानी दिखाई गई है जिसके परिवार को एक पॉलिटिशियन बेरहमी से मार देता है. इसमें विजय कुमार की बेटी नैनिका बच जाती है. लेकिन अपनी पत्नी की आखिरी इच्छा के अनुसार विजय कुमार पुलिस की नौकरी छोड़कर अपनी बेटी के साथ इन सब से दूर चला जाता है.

7. इस फिल्म के बॉक्स ऑफिस रिकॉर्ड की बात करें तो इस फिल्म ने पहले 6 दिनों में ही दुनियाभर में 100 करोड़ का आंकड़ा पार कर लिया था. इसके अलावा यूके बॉक्स ऑफिस पर पहले वीकेंड के मामले में इस फिल्म ने साल 2010 में रिलीज़ हुई रजनीकांत की फिल्म ‘रोबोट’ का भी रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिया था.
